What this is
PMM is the “show” layer of the mmh ecosystem — mass-friendly, lower monthly subscription price, the public-facing entry point that doesn’t require any prior orientation to consciousness work. PMM is its own node, NOT subordinate to or merely adjacent to mmh — it IS MMH expressed for a general audience, the way a magazine is the public face of a research institution. Substack blog (presentmoment.substack.com) is the current platform. PMM does not yet have its own separate Claude project — it is currently developed under mmh, but is conceptually independent.
Media architecture
A YouTube playlist-based Notion database (youtube_index_notion) created from Brian’s existing video library, tagged with a PM-01 through PM-10 taxonomy (Inner Arc / Bridge Arc / Outer Arc structure). This database enables cross-domain connections between different ideas that could spawn articles, media items, or curated content packages. The taxonomy is complete; the editorial production pipeline is nascent.
PMM Taxonomy (PM-01 through PM-10)
Documented in PM-MEDIA-01. Categories span consciousness/inner work (PM-01), archetypal/depth dimensions (PM-02), through civilizational history (PM-04) to practical application (PM-10). The taxonomy is the structural backbone for all editorial decisions.
Key relationships
mmh Core — philosophical root; PMM makes it accessible to a general audience. toi — shares civilizational diagnosis framing. whmi — PMM sits upstream as attention-capture layer. ccapi — platform infrastructure, URL registry. continuum — PMM is the oblique-entry attention-capture layer upstream of the full continuum. tsp — shares oblique-entry design philosophy.
What PMM does not yet have
Its own Claude project (lives under mmh currently, by design — not yet ready to formalize). A defined editorial production cadence. The full pipeline from video index → editorial calendar → published issue exercised end-to-end.
Status note
Synthesized June 28, 2026. Corrected from an earlier draft that framed PMM as subordinate to mmh — PMM is its own node on the ecosystem map, conceptually independent even without a separate Claude project yet.
